how do you feel about sharks?

kate loves sharks and wants to help them, how do you feel about sharks?

I think they're misunderstood creatures, and Jaws gave them a really bad reputation.

That being said, I would never go swimming with them unless I was decked out in full chainmail, shark repellant suit like they had on mythbusters.

i think sharks are awesome...i look at them as meaner dolphins. haha. i think it would be pretty cool to go swimming with sharks, though i wouldn't like one to bite me, though from what i understand, they don't bother you unless they feel threatened, right? i've never seen jaws, but i did go on the ride at universal, does that count?

I think sharks are misunderstood too. They are actually pretty cool. If you think about it shark attacks don't happen very often but when they do happen a big deal is made out of it so that it makes it seem worse than it actually is. I didn't watch jaws either and the ride at universal should count because I went on that too haha

Sharks seem pretty cool.
Sometimes i reckon the people who get injured by them are kinda silly cause I know of multiple cases where people have gone surfing or swimming or whatever when the previous day there has been a few sightings and they've said its too dangerous to swim. As well as most of them decide to go at dusk or dawn when the sharks like to be out.
But anyways it happens.
I dunno where this is going now so I think I will just stop.

Maybe it's like at school - Dolphins are the popular kids that everyone likes, and sharks are the misunderstood ones who are actually awesome once you get to know them

I like sharks (unless I was near one, in which case I would panic and go a bit crazy)

i would love to swim with a shark though. although properly secured in a wire cage or whatever it is you can use to swim with sharks

i voted foe because great whites tend to haunt my nightmares. i think its a legit phobia. that said, i wish no harm to sharks and believe they are a vital part of marine ecology.

i like the fact that we have more shark lovers on this board than those crazy foe people

I like watching the Discovery channel when they have Shark week. Not to say that they don't scare me because they do. I agree that they are misunderstood creatures and the attacks aren't as common as it's portrayed. I think it's terrible about the shark finning though. Is that even the right term? But anyways, shark teeth are cool..

I learned yesterday watching natgeo that Nicole Kidman loves sharks. I however do not. Except on the show i was watching they totally made the shark, named after Nicole, into a cute cuddley puppy. How they did that I will never know.

So I'm watching Planet Earth, and they just showed this Great White attacking a seal, and I have to say that I was definately on the seal's side. The shark just looked like a really mean, gross, giant fish.

Not impressed.
