Kate a poet?

I have been thinking about writing a lot lately (thats usually what happens when i procrastinate writing my own stuff) and agree with one interviewer that kate's lyrics are poetry put to music.

*THE POINT OF THIS THREAD* (i did that in case someone didn't want to read my ramblings but i guess they got sucked in anyway oops)

I think Listen as a whole is genius and Little Lungs is just amazing.

i am definitely gonna agree with

that pretty much sums up me

another lyric i adore is

I'd have to go with

I concur with these, as well as:

I really feel something from these lines, I know how forgettable false starts feel (since they seem to be all I am able to accomplish).

I love finding songs whose lyrics I can connect so directly to aspects of my own life... I'm simply in awe of Kate, and of Damon, in that every An Horse song achieves this.

my favorite (I wish I didn't feel so pretentious spelling it the other way, haha) has to be: I got so scared that you might be a better me than me.


But I also like the other ones everyone pointed out, especially:
