I do softball, baseball, netball and swimming.

One of my friends plays sotfball.
Its pretty funny our convos though cause I don't really have a clue what she is talking about when she talks about softball and she doesn't have a clue what i am talking about when i talk about cricket.
And i don't have a clue how that really related to what you just said but eh.

Well my group is full of sport freaks but most of them do athletics and soccer and none of them do softball, which is kinda dissapointing.

In softball I play first base and catcher and in netball I play GD and GK.

hey i used to be catcher...of course i was five but i still bat pretty well i just play for fun now like in a park with friends but thats cool welcome!!!

not competitively. i broke my leg really bad on the field, so i can't get up as quickly as usual playing catcher. i go to the cages every now and then to bat, but i want to join a league or something to try and get back into play competitively.

that's because being a catcher is the best position in the world
i need some australians to teach me how to play the different aussie sports, like netball and such. i've heard that netball is like basketball, but you can't move around, right?

haha I will have to agree that catcher is the best position...it was actually the first position I ever played. I also heard net ball is like basketball...I've always wanted to try it...

how did you break your leg on the field?

it was during a practice, and i normally slide with my left foot under, right foot out, and just outside the base line close to the pitchers mound, and i always missed a tiny little dimple in the dirt, well, my coach was doing sliding drills, running from first, rounding the bases and sliding into home, and wanted us to slide left foot out, didn't care how we normally slid, and my cleat managed to go into the dimple, i saw it go in, but couldn't pull it out fast enough. broke it in three places, tore ligaments, muscles and nerves, and had to have three surgeries to set it correctly. was in a cast for almost a year and a half. i was so mad at my coach, but thankfully, because i tore nerves, it numbed right up, but i heard it crack and that is not a wonderful sound to hear. so did my teammates lined up at first base. since then, my leg has never been the same. still get stress fractures in it from time to time and managed to re-break it again last september

So can you play any sport?

not really. i can play for fun. just not competitively. i played flag football for my school after my leg healed, but i wasn't 100% yet. i try all the time to work my leg/ankle to get it into better shape, but i don't think it's going to get any better than 75-80% which sucks, because i love to play sports. the only thing i can really do competitively now is swimming

That really sucks.
But swimming is fun.
